Privacy Policy
Last updated:
This policy applies to visits to the Shadowrocket Reviews & Official Manual website. This is the official Shadowrocket website and manual, offering purchase verification, configuration, and troubleshooting guidance as static pages. It does not provide proxy services. This policy describes the website data we process; data handled within the app and transactions processed by Apple are outside its scope.
1. Website Data and Collection
This site has no registration process, does not ask visitors for an email address, and does not accept subscription links, server credentials, or configuration files through its web pages. You do not need to submit your Apple Account, password, or payment details to read the guides. All instructions are carried out by users on their own devices and within the app.
When your browser requests a page, the server hosting this site receives the network information needed to deliver it. Server logs may include the time of access, requested path, response status, IP address, and browser request details. This information is used to serve pages, diagnose faults, and investigate unusual access. It does not mean we read files on your device or your Shadowrocket configuration.
2. Website Analytics and How We Use Data
We use website analytics to understand page readership, how visitors navigate the site, and clicks on App Store buttons. This helps us assess whether information is easy to find, improve navigation, and diagnose page issues. Analytics may include page paths, referring pages, browser and device types, visit times, and interaction events.
When a visitor clicks the App Store button on the download page, we record an entry event. This indicates an action to open the store; it does not confirm a purchase or reveal an Apple Account, payment method, or purchase history. We do not require reading activity to be linked to a real-world identity.
Server logs and analytics data are used only for the website maintenance purposes described above. Retention depends on server log rotation and analytics settings; this policy does not promise a fixed retention period that has not been verified.
3. Cookies and Local Storage
Static pages can still run browser scripts; a “static website” does not mean the browser will never store data. Whether analytics uses cookies or creates local storage entries depends on the analytics settings in use and your browser settings. We do not use this storage to keep users’ subscription details or server credentials.
The current page, language, and section selection may be represented by a link path or a section identifier in the address. A section identifier in a URL is not itself a cookie. Visitors can view, restrict, or clear this site’s cookies and local storage in their browser’s site data settings. Clearing data may reset some preferences; restricting analytics requests does not change the manual’s content.
4. App Store Links and Purchases
Our instructions for getting Shadowrocket point to the App Store, and the specified product page is the only way to obtain the app. Apple operates that product page. Once you open it, access records, account sign-in, payment, and purchase restoration are subject to Apple’s terms and privacy policies. We do not receive payment details.
When you choose to open an external link, your browser sends a request to the destination service and may send referral information, depending on your browser settings. This site’s privacy policy does not replace the destination service’s policies.
The app is a one-time purchase; it is not a proxy service plan. If you need to configure the app after purchase, use your own existing subscription or server details; this site does not collect them. See the App Store page for the listed price, compatibility, system requirements, and general purchase terms.
5. Policy Updates and Questions
If the website adds data-processing features or changes its analytics methods, we will revise this page and update the “Last updated” month at the top. Significant changes to the scope or purposes of data collection will be explained where the relevant feature is accessed; an earlier version of this policy will not be treated as an explanation of newly introduced processing.
For access issues or configuration questions, first read the FAQ or user guide. These links are for reference, not for submitting information. When describing an issue or keeping troubleshooting notes, remove account details, subscription URLs, and server credentials. Do not include sensitive information in links to this site or in URL parameters.
